亚马逊近日投资了英国初创公司 Beacon（一家数字货运代理公司）。

Amazon invests in UK freight forwarding start-up
Amazon recently invested in British start-up Beacon, a digital freight forwarding company.

Beacon said Sunday that it has raised more than $15 million in Round A financing from investors such as Bezos and venture capital firm 8VC. The start-up, which two years ago was made up of two former Uber executives, has the backing of Uber founders Travis Kalanick and Garrett Camp, as well as Eric Schmidt, Google’s former chief executive. Beacon is also a supply chain finance company that provides real-time data for delivery of goods and a market view of global transportation costs and prices.
