印度封城 21 天，Netflix 及 FB 宣布暂时压缩视频和图片

网易科技讯 3 月 25 日消息，据国外媒体报道，当地时间周二流媒体服务公司 Netflix 和社交媒体巨头 Facebook 表示，将减少服务的数据使用量，以缓解印度电信网络的拥堵状况。

印度已经在多个城市实施了禁闭。当地时间周二印度总理莫迪 (Narendra Modi) 周二宣布，从午夜起全国实施为期 21 天的封锁措施，以遏制新型冠状病毒的蔓延。随着人们更多使用家庭互联网来传输内容，移动网络也可能面临越来越大的压力。

Netflix 在一份声明中表示，未来 30 天内，该公司将把印度电信网络的流量减少 25%。此前，该公司在欧洲采取了类似举措，以帮助应对网络使用量激增的问题。

Netflix 在亚太地区拥有超过 1600 万付费用户，但其没有披露印度的用户数量。
